Haunted Town Halls
Peter J Roe

The town hall has often served as the local courtroom, prison cells, council chambers and eventually auditoriums
and theatres. Is it any surprise that ghosts should inhabit these structures after their physical selves have left this mortal coil? Join The Searcher Group, renowned Canadian paranormal h investigation team, as they embark on a chilling multi-year exploration of these iconic buildings:
• A long-dead caretaker believed to be still doing his job is but one of several spirits the team encounters in a town hall saved from the wrecking ball
• Reports of poltergeist-like activity in a rural theatre are overshadowed by the presence of a possible spirit portal and photographic evidence of…a Dementor?
• A supposedly ghost-free town hall quickly proves to be anything but as a social hierarchy is uncovered, led by a spirit upset by the team’s presence
• A popular entertainment complex invites The Searcher Group to investigate reports of malfunctioning equipment and disembodied footfalls
• The prospect of a clearing ritual inside a still-active town hall provokes an otherworldly outburst that further enforces the team’s position regarding “ghost-busting”
• In the heart of Ontario’s capital, dozens of curious guests watch as The Searcher Group joins them on a Hallowe’en tour of Toronto’s first city hall. Do they detect something supernatural?
Could your local town hall be haunted too?

Peter J Roe
Peter J Roe has had a keen interest in life-after-death research since he was knee high to an orb, absorbing every book his local library had to offer on ghosts, and daydreaming of exploring the locations he’d read about in the hopes of meeting them someday. Inspired by his first ghost tour, the advent of paranormal-based television programming and the desire to find a legitimate, reputable team to learn from, Peter was welcomed as a full-fledged paranormal investigator with The Searcher Group in 2010 following a trial period of several months investigating the grounds of the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto, Ontario. Peter’s passion for investigative research and dedication to the team and its progressive findings quickly earned him the appointment of Assistant Director, and he now leads the inaugural “sister” group Mortal Coil Paranormal. A storyboard artist with Canada’s oldest television animation studio by day, Peter holds a BA in English Studies and haunts his own house in Georgetown, Ontario, with wife, Kim; daughter, Libby; and two feline children, Catcher and Nova.
