Medium-sized tree with rounded to oval form; leathery leaves; creamy-white clusters of flowers, last of lilacs to bloom; persistent seed capsules; reddish-brown, ornamental bark; pH 6.0-7.5; may be multi-stemmed but cultivars are usually single-stemmed.

Limitations

Needs full sun for best flowering; light fragrance but unlike other lilacs; susceptible to leaf miner in SE.
